Mama,
Stop surviving in Spanish
Start connecting, expressing, belonging.
New edition – April 2026
You didn’t move to Spain to nod along while everyone else does the talking.
Habla MAMA is where international mothers learn to join in
-at the school gate, in WhatsApp chats, with the neighbour or the nurse —
without overthinking every word or needing someone else to speak for them.
Let me guess…
You wish…
♦ Say what matters in the moments that matter — without freezing, fumbling, or defaulting to silence.
Whether it’s the doctor’s office, the school meeting, or a quick chat at the park — you stay in the conversation instead of shrinking from it.
♦ Feel like you again — not just in your head, but in Spanish. Join conversations instead of orbiting them. Say what you really mean, not just what you can manage.
♦ Finally learn Spanish in a way that honours your reality — your energy, your time, your role as a mother.
No more hours buried in apps or grammar books. Just meaningful practice that fits into your life, not on top of it
But the reality is that:
♦ You start conversations in Spanish… and end them in English.
Not because you want to, but because your words disappear the moment you need them.
♦ You’re always half a beat behind.
By the time you’ve found the sentence in your head, the conversation has already moved on — and you stay quiet, again.
♦ You’ve lived in Spain long enough to know this isn’t about effort anymore.
You’ve done the apps. The books. The courses.
You understand more than you speak — and you speak far less than you think.
It's time to be seen and heard
Habla, MAMA has guided many international mums in Spain to take the big step: feeling confident, connected, and empowered to thrive. Thanks to a proven method and a support system designed for them.
You'll be supported and guided every step of the way
You don’t need to be fluent to feel grounded. You need moments like these to start stacking...
You stop pre-rehearsing sentences before you speak
You trust yourself to say what you need, even if it’s not perfect – and somehow, it lands.
You stop pretending to understand.
You actually do. The doctor talks. The teacher explains. And you don’t nod along blankly anymore -you follow, ask questions, and feel like an adult again.
You stop apologising for your Spanish.
That reflex to say “Sorry, my Spanish is bad” dies off. You’re in the conversation, not just next to it.
You stop translating in your head before you connect.
You look the other parent in the eye and respond without delay… and they get you. Not just your words. You.
You stop needing your partner to “handle it.”
You walk into the pharmacy or the school meeting without backup, not because you have to, but because you can.
Speaking Spanish clearly and confidently gives you the freedom and independence to handle everyday moments, like at the hairdresser , on your child’s first day at daycare...
In Habla, MAMA you get results fast!
You will be only learning what truly matters to you as mum:
Talking to health professionals, fellow parents, school teachers or neighbourghs. No fluff.
TWO PATHWAYS
HABLA MAMA
CONVERSATIONAL
This is the entry point for false beginners and re-starters.
It’s where you rebuild your confidence, your fluency, and your ability to speak without fear.
You’ve tried before — apps, courses, maybe even an intensive.
But nothing stuck.
Because it was built for students, not mothers.
This path is for you if:
You know a bit… but can’t say much.
You’ve taken a break — or never really started.
You’ve been surviving daily life, not studying verbs.
You’re tired of shrinking your thoughts to fit your Spanish.
What you’ll learn
Real-life topics:
talking to paediatricians, navigating school chats, booking a haircut, making plans, shopping, handling restaurant moments, and managing the daily chaos with kids — all in Spanish
Tools to express yourself in the past and future without blanking or overthinking
Emotional fluency: how to move through guilt, shame and the fear of being judged — without shutting down
Conversation practice that’s emotionally safe, not performative
Coaching prompts to quiet the inner critic saying “you should know this”
Intercultural tools so you don’t just translate — you connect
No grammar overwhelm. No fake role-plays.
Just real words, in real context, with real women.
And yes — babies, tired brains, and “I forgot the word for fork” moments are absolutely welcome.
HABLA MAMA
FLOW
For the woman who can get by in Spanish — but still doesn’t feel like herself when she speaks.
You’ve studied before.
You can hold a conversation one-on-one, if it’s slow. You technically know how the past tense works — but using it in real time? Still a minefield.
You feel stuck in that awkward middle ground:
Not a beginner, but not yet fluent.
This is for you if:
You can have basic conversations, but they still feel stiff or scripted
You overthink grammar mid-sentence and lose your train of thought
You want to connect, joke, share real stories — but don’t have the vocabulary or flow
You feel like you should be further along by now
You’re done “getting by” — you’re ready to be you in Spanish
What you’ll learn
(aka what actually shows up in your real conversations):
How to navigate parent-teacher meetings with clarity
How to talk about past events — accidents, stories, holidays, your life before Spain
How to describe emotions, opinions, things you love or struggle with
How to express frustration, humour, pride, or vulnerability — in your own words
How to arrange plans, make friends, and join spontaneous conversations with ease
How to build cultural awareness so you stop second-guessing meaning or tone
How to stop translating and start thinking in Spanish — with your full personality intact
What's inside?
This is NOT just a Spanish class
It’s a full learning ecosystem designed for your real life and your real brain.
Most traditional classes ask for more time, more memory, more energy.
Habla MAMA works with your nervous system, your schedule, and your stage of life, not against it.
That’s why the mums inside experience results faster, because they’re not just attending lessons…
They’re immersed in a flexible strategy that builds fluency through emotion, story, repetition, and identity.
♦ 1 weekly online LIVE SESSION in a mini-group setting . You’ll practice real-life Spanish using stories, emotion, and lived context — not grammar charts. No pressure. No correction traps. Just real scenes, real language and a safe room to finally speak.
♦ Before the live session you get an audio-lesson and the transcript, that feel like mental stretching, not study time.
You’ll hear the rhythm, the tone, the emotion — so when class starts, your nervous system isn’t in panic mode. You’re ready.
♦ After the live session you get a consolidation audio-lesson. This is when Spanish actually stick.
Revisit what you practiced — in the car, while cooking, walking.
Not more content, just deeper grounding. Let it land on your terms.
♦ Access to a What’sApp group. You’re not left hanging between sessions. Got a voice note to send? A phrase you can’t translate?I’m here (weekdays) to help you fix, rephrase, or feel proud of what you did say.
♦ Confidence coaching. Shame-proof your Spanish.
You’ll get reflection prompts and mindset re-frames that untangle the fear of being “wrong” so you can speak from who you really are — even in another language.
♦ Intercultural communication training. You won’t just say the words you’ll feel what fits.
Learn the tone, pacing and nuance that make a sentence land, not just sound “correct.” No more guessing. Just connecting like yourself.
Just in case you’re wondering how much time you’ll have to invest…
Yes, you’ll be able to complete the tasks even as a busy (probably sleep deprived) mum.
Habla, MAMA has been crafted from a mum that has been in your shoes- taking into consideration the unique needs and reality of motherhood.
The audio format of the preparation and consolidation tasks will allow you to immerse and make your Spanish stick while breastfeeding, cooking, walking the dog or on your commute to work!
I’ve just completed Habla, Mama programme with Marta, and it has been a fantastic part of my Spanish language learning journey so far. I’ve always struggled with textbook learning and, despite living here for six years, I lacked the confidence to speak at all.
However, since working with Marta and experiencing her teaching style, things are finally changing.
I especially love the audios that incorporate what we’ve covered in class into real-life scenarios. Being able to listen to them while cooking, putting my baby to bed, or walking the dog has really helped me consolidate my learning.
Thanks to Marta, I feel more confident, I’m speaking more, and I’m genuinely excited to continue improving my Spanish!

Hola soy Marta, your Spanish language coach:
My name is Marta—a mum of two little ones and a Certified Language Coach with over 13 years of teaching experience.
And I know how it feels when living abroad and not being able to communicate with the locals freely! I moved to Bristol, UK, to learn English driven by the dream of becoming an international journalist. As soon as I arrived, I enrolled in a language school and successfully passed the B1 exam.
But guess what? Despite my efforts, I struggled to understand native speakers and couldn’t hold a conversation beyond three sentences for a long time. It was incredibly frustrating!
Fast forward a decade—after teaching Spanish at Bristol University for over 10 years, becoming a Certified Neurolanguage Coach®, and exploring different teaching methodologies like TPR Storytelling—I finally understood what truly works when acquiring a language.
And spoiler alert: it’s not about memorizing endless grammar rules and vocabulary lists, as I once believed.
Now, back in Madrid, after having my first baby in the UK and experiencing firsthand the challenges of raising a child abroad, my mission is to support international mums living in Spain. I create a safe, welcoming space where they can learn the language in the most effective and enjoyable way—focusing on what actually works.
Because learning a language isn’t just about words. It’s also about developing the right strategies to avoid freezing or feeling “less smart” because you have an A2 level—so you can say “adiós” to fear and shame and “hola” to confidence and joy.
This holistic approach will not only give you the tools you need but also the mindset to stay focused on what truly matters: enjoying the process and making real progress.
Because you deserve to embrace motherhood, feel a sense of belonging, and share your unique talents with the world—without barriers.
How much does it cost to stop surviving and start belonging?
These mums have already transformed their lives...
Now is your turn!
Will this investment be worth it?
If you’re a mum living in Spain, you already know the answer.
Because this isn’t just about Spanish.
It’s about how long you’re willing to keep shrinking in the spaces that matter most.
Ask yourself:
How many times have you walked out of a school meeting hoping you understood enough?
How many conversations have you nodded through — pretending to follow, while feeling completely outside?
How many moments with your kids have passed you by because you couldn’t stay in the language with them?
You’re not failing at Spanish.
You’ve just never been taught in a way that makes you feel like yourself.
Now imagine the opposite:
- You sit across from your child’s teacher and understand what she’s saying — not palabra por palabra, but with enough clarity to respond, ask, connect.
- You hear the other mums talking at the park — and you don’t shrink.
You jump in. Even if it’s not perfect, it’s you.
- Your kids switch to Spanish and you stay with them.
You laugh, reply, join — no more being on the outside of their world.
- You walk through your days with less panic, less pretending.
You still live in Spain, yes — but now, you live here as yourself.
This course is for you if:
You’re done “getting by” – you want to speak Spanish where it actually matters: the school, the doctor’s office, the playground.
You’ve studied before – apps, classes, intensives – but none of it stuck because none of it fit your life.
You’re tired of hovering on the edge of conversations, nodding like you understand when you don’t.
You want to move forward without hustling like you don’t have kids.
This course is NOT for you if:
❌ You’re chasing perfection over progress – and want a grammar-heavy, textbook-style path.
❌ You get deep joy from verb drills, worksheets, and memorising rules for fun.
❌ You expect fluency in 3 weeks – or think language is something you can «hack.»
❌ You want to tick “learn Spanish” off your list, not integrate it into your everyday life.
❌ You’re looking for a generic course – not a space designed for mothers, real life, and long-term belonging.
It's time to prioritize yourself. Book your discovery call and start speaking Spanish comfortably
