Spanish language programme for mums living in Spain. Learn to speak with confidence in real-life situations like school teachers, paediatricians, and daily conversations
You’re at your child’s school event… but you’re not really part of the conversation.
You smile, nod… and feel like you’re only half of yourself.
You’ve done what you were supposed to do — apps, books, lessons.
But when it matters… the words still don’t come.
Not because it’s you.

But because no one taught you Spanish for the life you actually live.
With a child in your arms… coffee going cold…
and no time to sit and “study.”

Let me guess…

You wish…

Handle everyday situations, like talking to paediatricians, teachers, or other parents at the playground with ease, without feeling self-conscious or anxious.

Connect and integrate with your local community and be yourself also in Spanish.

♦ Advance and learn Spanish in a way that is compatible with your busy life as a mum, without compromising time with your family

But the reality is that:

♦ You struggle with everyday conversations and end up speaking in English or relying on Google Translate.

♦ Feel in the periphery of the conversations because when you are ready to say something the conversation has moved on!

♦ You’re frustrated because despite being in Spain for a while and learning Spanish with Apps, books, or courses but still can’t communicate with confidence.

The only Spanish language programme for expat mums living in Spain

Habla, MAMA has guided many international mums in Spain to take the big step: feeling confident, connected, and empowered to thrive. Thanks to a proven method and a support system designed for them.

You'll be supported and guided every step of the way

You don’t need to be fluent to feel grounded. You need moments like these to start stacking...

You stop pre-rehearsing sentences before you speak
You trust yourself to say what you need, even if it’s not perfect – and somehow, it lands.

 You stop pretending to understand.
You actually do. The doctor talks. The teacher explains. And you don’t nod along blankly anymore  -you follow, ask questions, and feel like an adult again.

You stop apologising for your Spanish.
That reflex to say “Sorry, my Spanish is bad” dies off. You’re in the conversation, not just next to it.

You stop translating in your head before you connect.
You look the other parent in the eye and respond without delay… and they get you. Not just your words. You.

You stop needing your partner to “handle it.”
You walk into the pharmacy or the school meeting without backup,  not because you have to, but because you can.

Speaking Spanish clearly and confidently gives you the freedom and independence to handle everyday moments, like at the hairdresser , on your child’s first day at daycare...

Choose your Spanish learning journey to thrive in Spain

HABLA MAMA
CONVERSATIONAL

This is the entry point for false beginners and re-starters.

It’s where you rebuild your confidence, your fluency, and your ability to speak without fear.

You’ve tried before — apps, courses, maybe even an intensive.

But nothing stuck.
Because it was built for students, not mothers.

This path is for you if:
  • You know a bit… but can’t say much.

  • You know the basics — how to introduce yourself, talk about your family, order coffee…
But when real life happens, you don’t have the words.

What you’ll learn
Social life & small talk with other parents
Introducing yourself, talking about your family and routines, chatting at birthday parties, and joining conversations about weekend plans

Leisure and activities with your children
Talking about hobbies, planning activities together, and discussing future plans like holidays or summer camp
Shopping and daily errands
Buying food at the market, expressing preferences, and managing everyday situations with confidence
Going out: restaurants, cafés and hairdressers

HABLA MAMA
FLOW

For the woman who can get by in Spanish — but still doesn’t feel like herself when she speaks.

You’ve studied before.
You can hold a conversation one-on-one, if it’s slow. You technically know how the past tense works — but using it in real time? Still a minefield.

You feel stuck in that awkward middle ground:
Not a beginner, but not yet fluent.

This path is for you if:
  • You can have basic conversations, but they still feel stiff or scripted

  • You overthink grammar mid-sentence and lose your train of thought

  • You want to connect, joke, share real stories — but don’t have the vocabulary or flow

What you’ll learn

(aka what actually shows up in your real conversations):

Chatting with other parents at the school gate or birthday parties
Talking about your weekend, your life back home, or simply joining the conversation without overthinking

Paediatrician appointments
Explaining symptoms, understanding what’s happening, and asking the right questions with confidence

Meetings with teachers
Talking about your child’s behaviour, progress, and anything that matters — without feeling lost or silent

Everyday moments at the playground
Handling small conflicts, setting boundaries, and communicating naturally with other parents

Travelling and planning family life
Organising holidays, summer camps, and daily logistics without stress or confusion

LIVE SESSION HABLA MAMA FLOW:

Your next conversation at the playground will be different

What's inside?

This is NOT  just a Spanish class

It’s a full learning ecosystem designed for your real life  and your real brain.
Most traditional classes ask for more time, more memory, more energy.
Habla MAMA works with your nervous system, your schedule, and your stage of life, not against it.
That’s why the mums inside experience results faster, because they’re not just attending lessons…
They’re immersed in a flexible strategy that builds fluency through emotion, story, repetition, and identity.

1 weekly 60 mins LIVE SESSION in a group setting – (max 8 people) This is where your voice comes alive.
We use storytelling and emotional language scenes so you can start speaking immediately not “after enough grammar”.

You’ll leave each session feeling more fluent, more proud and more like yourself in Spanish.

Preparation materials: You’ll receive a bite-sized audio or video before class, so you never walk in lost or anxious.
You’ll hear the words, feel the rhythm, and recognize the scenes ahead of time, like a soft warm-up for your brain. This is how we build safety before performance.

Consolidation materials: After the live session, you’ll get a follow-up audio + full transcription.
You can listen passively while walking your dog, or dive deep into the vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar at your own pace.
You choose the depth, we provide the structure.

Fluency sprint audios: Short grammar drills designed to help you speak faster and more and train your comprehension naturally. No more overthinking verb-endings

Support on What’sApp from Monday to Friday You’ll never feel stuck between sessions. Got a voice note to send? A phrase you’re unsure of?
I’m here for you, every weekday, to clarify, correct or celebrate your progress. This is the kind of consistent, emotionally-attuned support traditional schools never offer.

Confidence coaching: Journaling prompts to work on your mindset, reflect on your learning progress and learn strategies to overcome fear/shame when speaking to locals.

Intercultural awareness: You won’t just learn what to say,  you’ll learn how connection sounds. Tone. Context. What’s really behind the words. No more guessing if you said it “right”. You’ll feel what fits and finally connect like yourself.

Just in case you’re wondering how much time you’ll have to invest…

Yes, you’ll be able to complete the tasks even as a busy (probably sleep deprived) mum.

Habla, MAMA  has been crafted from a mum that has been in your shoes- taking into consideration the unique needs and reality of motherhood.

The audio format of the preparation and consolidation tasks will allow you to immerse and make your Spanish stick while breastfeeding, cooking, walking the dog or on your commute to work!

I’ve just completed Habla, Mama programme with Marta, and it has been a fantastic part of my Spanish language learning journey so far. I’ve always struggled with textbook learning and, despite living here for six years, I lacked the confidence to speak at all.

However, since working with Marta and experiencing her teaching style, things are finally changing.
I especially love the audios that incorporate what we’ve covered in class into real-life scenarios. Being able to listen to them while cooking, putting my baby to bed, or walking the dog has really helped me consolidate my learning.
Thanks to Marta, I feel more confident, I’m speaking more, and I’m genuinely excited to continue improving my Spanish!

Hola, soy Marta.
Your Spanish language coach...

My name is Marta—a mum of two little ones and a Certified Language Coach with over 13 years of teaching experience.

And I know how it feels when living abroad and not being able to communicate with the locals freely! I moved to Bristol, UK, to learn English driven by the dream of becoming an international journalist. As soon as I arrived, I enrolled in a language school and successfully passed the B1 exam.

But guess what? Despite my efforts, I struggled to understand native speakers and couldn’t hold a conversation beyond three sentences for a long time. It was incredibly frustrating!

Fast forward a decade—after teaching Spanish at Bristol University for over 10 years, becoming a Certified Neurolanguage Coach®, and exploring different teaching methodologies like TPR Storytelling—I finally understood what truly works when acquiring a language.

And spoiler alert: it’s not about memorizing endless grammar rules and vocabulary lists, as I once believed.

Now, back in Madrid, after having my first baby in the UK and experiencing firsthand the challenges of raising a child abroad, my mission is to support international mums living in Spain. I create a safe, welcoming space where they can learn the language in the most effective and enjoyable way—focusing on what actually works.

Because learning a language isn’t just about words. It’s also about developing the right strategies to avoid freezing or feeling “less smart” because you have an A2 level—so you can say “adiós” to fear and shame and “hola” to confidence and joy.

This holistic approach will not only give you the tools you need but also the mindset to stay focused on what truly matters: enjoying the process and making real progress.

Because you deserve to embrace motherhood, feel a sense of belonging, and share your unique talents with the world—without barriers.

What makes me different

In Habla, MAMA you get results fast!

You will be only learning what truly matters to you as mum:

Talking to health professionals, fellow parents, school teachers or neighbourghs. No fluff.

These mums have already transformed their lives...
Now is your turn!

Is it worth learning Spanish if you’re a mum living in Spain?

Studiying-with-traditional-methods

If you’re a mum living in Spain, you already know the answer.

Think about it:

  • How many times have you felt left out at your child’s school because you couldn’t follow the conversation with teachers or other parents?

  • How many opportunities have you missed to make friends, connect with neighbors, or simply feel part of your community?

  • How frustrating is it when your children switch to Spanish and you can’t keep up with what they’re saying?

Now imagine the opposite:

  •  Understanding what the teacher is telling you about your child—without needing someone to translate.
  • Making local friends and building a support network instead of feeling isolated.

  • Joining in when your kids speak Spanish, laughing with them instead of feeling left out.

  • Feeling at home in Spain, not just living here as an outsider.
