Backpacks hanging. Kids running. Someone calling your name from a distance.
And then it happens.
A mum walks up to you. She starts talking. And you smile before you understand. You nod before you know what you're agreeing to.
"Sometimes I pretend to be busy on my phone so I don't have to do the awkward small talk."
"I'm tired of my child translating things for me."
"In my own language I'm funny, quick, opinionated. Here I sound like I've lost half my personality."
"I don't want to spend years living in Spain feeling like a background character in my own life."
You've done the classes. Downloaded the apps. Tried to be consistent.
Nobody really tells you this: learning a language as an exhausted adult with children, responsibilities and probably a sleep-deprived brain has very little to do with memorising grammar rules.
The problem isn't that you haven't tried. It's that everything you've tried was built for someone else. Apps for commuters. Grammar courses for students with two free hours and a quiet room. Generic content about booking hotels — while you're trying to understand what the teacher just said about your child.
Real results from real mothers
I raised my children in a language that didn't always feel like mine. And things didn't suddenly change when my English got better. They changed when I stopped trying to sound perfect — when I showed up anyway, even when it felt uncomfortable and messy.
That's when things started shifting.
Because here's the truth:
Before every live session, you get an audio and transcript with real situations from your life here — school conversations, birthday parties, doctor's appointments, talking to neighbours. Your brain has already met the language before you try using it. Most women listen while doing ten other things at the same time — because motherhood.
Maximum 6 women, all in the same situation as you. Through stories, repetition, role plays and conversations that actually sound like real life. You speak before you feel ready. You forget words. You laugh. You try again.
The same story and key phrases again — so the language keeps sinking in naturally instead of disappearing the second the session ends. This is usually the moment women think: "wait… I actually understood that."
The overthinking. The embarrassment. The weird feeling of becoming a quieter, smaller version of yourself in another language. We work on the emotional side of fluency — the blocks, the internal judgment, the freeze — so that when the moment comes, you show up.
Understanding indirectness. Humour. Tone. Why "ya veremos" usually doesn't mean "we'll see." The cultural codes nobody explains but everyone somehow expects you to know.
Being surrounded by women going through the exact same thing changes more than people expect. You stop feeling like the only one finding this hard. And that matters more than any lesson.
The programme is designed to offer flexibility and accommodate different schedules. You attend one live class per week, in one of the available time slots below. Live classes take place Tuesday to Thursday in groups of maximum 6 people.
All times are Spanish mainland time (CET/CEST). Once you enrol, you'll complete a short form about your availability and level, and I'll place you in the group that best suits you.
"Before this course I completed an intensive course at a language school and tried all the usual language apps. I always lacked confidence with speaking and played dumb to avoid conversations. I really liked that Habla MAMA focuses on topics relevant to real life — finally I didn't have to learn directions or endless grammar with no context. I am way more confident in speaking and even if I know it's not perfect I still try anyway. I have been talking more with other mums at school, in shops and with neighbours."— H. B.
"This experience has been transformative for me. I have been here 6 years and it's been lonely and isolating not being able to understand or communicate well. For the first time I feel confident to go out and have breakfast with a Spanish person one on one and without my husband. I don't use the translation app half as much as I used to."— Claire MacMinn
"I am working at B1 level using traditional methods but did not have the confidence to speak. After 8 weeks I am already feeling a lot more confident to have a go at speaking Spanish. The lessons feel very relaxed and I go in feeling prepared, having listened to the recordings beforehand."— Helen Polimon
"It's been the best fit for me. I've learned and retained more Spanish during this course than 2 years at a local university. It's a perfect fit around a baby or young kids too — the online class is only 1 hour a week."— Erin Latham

You freeze in real conversations and need to start communicating in the situations that actually matter — the doctor, the school gate, the birthday party, the neighbour at the door.
You've studied. But you're still translating in your head, you avoid conversations and you don't feel like yourself when you speak. This is where fluency becomes real.
Not sure which one is yours? We'll figure it out together on the call.
The programme starts in September. Join now and get immediate access to summer materials so you arrive at the school gate already warmed up.
Audios and transcripts to listen to over the summer at your own pace — school gate conversations, birthday parties, back-to-school prep, the September parent meeting.
After August 16th at 23:59, this bonus disappears. The programme will still be available, just without the early summer access.
Both programmes start September 21st, 2026. Live groups of max. 6 people, online, Tuesday to Thursday.

A language coach and a mum of two from Spain. I taught Spanish at Bristol University for more than a decade, then became a mum abroad myself — googling vocabulary before midwife appointments, leaving conversations wondering if I'd really understood.
Motherhood already comes with enough overwhelm. Doing it in another language just adds a whole new layer of stress and insecurity to everything.
That's why, when I moved back to Spain, I went back to study. Cognitive Grammar. TPR Storytelling. And I became a certified Neurolanguage Coach® accredited by the International Coaching Federation.
Because I wanted to teach the way I wished someone had taught me. Learner-centred. Emotionally aware. Built around your goals — not a textbook's. A space where you feel safe enough to open your mouth, make mistakes and keep going.
Send me a WhatsApp message and I'll personally get back to you. No bots, no funnels — just me.
No pressure. Just a conversation.
Message me on WhatsApp →You don't need to sound perfect to connect with people and feel like yourself again here. You need a system that works with your life as a mother — not against it.
I want my voice back in Spanish →Early bird offer and bonus available only until August 16th, 23:59
